How do you set up your image folder and get image for use in components in a java application?

How do you set up your image folder and get image for use in components in a java application?

Where would you recommend to put the images folder?

Is there an example of how to get the images to put in a Jpanel or JLabel or any component?

I also want the best way to retrieve images with memory and loading in mind.

Thanks

Please take a look at the Java Trails > Working with Images.

Where would you recommend to put the images folder?

Consider saving images in the src directory: /src/resources/images/foo.png. Also take a look at conversation about this question.

Please search Google: java swing image. Also look at leepoint.net
