Aladdin eToken Installation - Virtual Card Reader Issues

Hi Everyone,

I'm having a strange issue. I have a Dell Latitude E5400 laptop, with a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. I've installed the eToken 5.1 SP1 64-bit software, rebooted and plugged in the eToken fob. The actual token driver installs, but no red light. After some diagnosis, I see that the virtual card reader drivers are not present. I have uninstalled and re-installed the eToken software, and tried multiple eToken fobs.

Could anyone out there lend a hand, I need to get this laptop to the customer next week. Thanks for the help!

It was a complete wipe and load. Most of the drivers were already installed from the Windows install media. I used Windows Update to install all updates including the chipset drivers. I think I may download the Dell driver cabinet file on Monday and try updating all the drivers. Thanks for the help.
Yes, I would use the manufacturer DEL chipset drivers over Microsoft any time. The MS drivers seem to be like universal drivers where as DEL are dedicated drivers.
Should fix it.

Interesting. Checking on the Dell cabinet driver website, there were only 32-bit Windows 7 drivers for the E5400 model. I had installed 64-bit Pro. So, I re-imaged the laptop once again with 32-bit, and installed all drivers from the Dell cabinet file. The token now works. Thanks for the help.
