I have a samsung series 9 on which I installed windows 8 while the samsung easy settings program had the battery set to charge only to 80% in order to save the batery.  but now I want to change the setting so it charges to 100% however the Easy Settings program is not compatible to install.  not even with compatibility mode.

Any ideas?

The battery will charge to 100% by default via. windows, without installing samsung easy settings program.
If Samsung "battery life extender" is installed:
You don't need to uninstall it.
Click Start & Programs and right at the top is Samsung Manager( or something like that).
Click this and the next obvious one and ,on the right , you will see Battery Manager.
This has 2 boxes . Uncheck the 80% one and tick the 100% one.

The above post does not work since I am running windows 8.  The issue was that the battery was set ot charge only to 80% BEFORE installing win 8.  In win 8, the Easy settings (the only place to change the battery setting) would not run so I had uninstalled it.  But the battery setting did not change.

However I was able to install the battery life extender for XP in compatibility mode and now the issue is resolved.
