Internet explorer problem with width of page

Hi, firefox is displaying the site as it should but internet explorer is not, i think it has to do with css, can anyone help me out?

    What's the problem exactly? Which versions of which browsers? Please post screenshots.

    You have an invalid DOCTYPE so IE renders it in Quirks mode - not good !

    Choose a valid DOCTYPE from here and your page should be fine
