add used ip to xen server windows server r2 vm, but unbale to resolve

I have 2 windows vm in xen server 6.02, i remove a ip from one windows vm and add the ip to another windows vm, but seen i was unable to ping it. Need to wait some time to wait ti resolve? how am i make it faster to resolve.

    if you have
    A record

    and you have a virtual machine with a static ip address of and a name of myserver and you turn off this machine, start another machine

    myserver2, set its ip address to (static)..
    on the domain controller go to the DNS settings and delete the previous record and add the myserver2

    you should be good to go immediately, unless you have several domain controllers and then it has to replicate across.
