calling javascript function from datagrid

Hi, I have a datadgrid and i need to call a javascript function from a click.. I have the following but it throws up a Webpage error details:

Message: 'null' is null or not an object

i have set the allowScriptAccess="always" on the ebedded movie... I cant seem to get it to work?

heres the bit of code...

grid.addEventListener(ListEvent.ITEM_CLICK, clickHandler, false, 100); 
	function clickHandler(Event:ListEvent):void
