wsus - configuration

i am setting up a new wsus server to roll out updates for windows xp and windows 7
i am running on a hyper v on server 2003.

what updates should i sent out first , i have created a test group just to ensure that it doesnt crash everything.

also how is the active directory linked into wsus as i have created a variety of profiles to allow these updates to be installed via group policy.

For updates click Classifications tab and enable the following:
- Critical Updates
- Definition Updates
- Security Updates
- Update Rollups
- Updates

Automatic Approvals. Change Default Automatic Approval Rule and enable: Critical Updates,  Definition Updates,  Security Updates, Update Rollups,  Updates
To setup WSUS for Group Policy:
1. Open WSUS Server
2. Click the Options and then click Computers and select "use group policy or registry on computers"
