Chrome refusing to import bookmarks

Hi, Chrome is proving impossible to set up on a new networked workstation (Windows 7 x64/SBS 2011).

I am unable to import the user's previous bookmarks(extensive) unless I "Run as Adminstartor" in which case they install but I can't see them when I subsequently log in as the real user.

When I try and import them as the real user the Open screen appears but when I click on it from the task bar it goes back to the previous Chrome Management page.

n.b. I had to install "chrome for multiple user" from


Any ideas what's the fix?

the file is located in C:\Users\USERID\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default on Win7. You should be able to edit this file if needed. You should be able to write a simple batch job to copy to that location as well. Let me know if you want some help.
