Adobe Photoshop iStockphoto issue

Hi all,

Since iStockphoto has been updated I can not download high resolution watermarked images to use in my designer projects.
Does any one know how to download high resolution images from iStockphoto with watermark?

Thank you.

Here's the answer that you didn't want to get.

According to iStockphoto, part of their website upgrade was to take away the high rez comp images that were so nice to work with. You now have to make do with blurry low rez comps and stretch them to fit.

Of find another source of stock images, preferable one not already gobbled up by Getty Images (like iStockphoto was).

I guess too many folk were getting good at covering up the water-mark.

Sorry!

There is Google Images.

Could also be that you need to reset your account?
I haven't seen this D_Brugge posted, tried to find something on that but couldn't.
They do have a new method to pay for them that may apply.
29 Jul 2012 – After signing up for an account, you can search for and download stock ... Given the quality of images on iStock, this is one of the best values in the stock ... This will help you identify images with higher or lower ratings

While you don’t need an iStock account to install the plug-in and search for files, you will need one to add to lightboxes, insert comps and download files. iStock accounts are free and if you need one, you can sign up here.

Daily Bump!

Just to clear out one thing. I need to download high res watermarked images for my project drafts. After my client agrees on the vision of his project we Do pay for the images.

Now imagine if i would have to present the project draft to my client in low resolution pixelised and blurry images? Not good right? Hence the need of high res watermarked images!

@Merete: The Adobe Photoshop version is 5.5. We tested the plug in, but it does not seem to work for us as we do not want to pay for draft pictures that may be rejected by the client.

Thank you.

Yes I understand, unfortunately as D_Brugge pointed out too many folk were getting good at covering up the water-mark.
There are sites like this one which charge a small fee, the work around is to really understand / know what your clients want so there is less losses.
Use more communication to get all the details so you don't have to pay out for images that won't be accepted.
Or add these fees to your costs.
At 21 cents an image is not a high loss.
Download high quality Royalty-Free images for as low as A$0.21/image or free

there is also the idea of using the available water marked images on Google Images just know your subject  here you can find many watermarked High Rez images
As I dont know the specifics /subject material.
Consider learning how to bring out the best with lower rez images using LightRoom/ or your own tools. There are many tricks to bringing out the best even with lower rez.
