SBS 2011 Public folder permissions

Hi,

I have migrated users and groups from SBS2003 to SBS2011 and everything seems fine expect that I cannot apply security groups to public folders to control permissions.

If I create a new group within the SBS console then this group appears in Outlook so that I can use it to apply permissions but the imported groups do not appear in the Outlook list.

I have run Groupconverter.exe and can now see those groups in the SBS Console but they still do not appear in Outlook to apply to public folders.

Help on this would be most appreciated

Make sure your address book is syncing properly with exchange. Also, remember that exchange itself doesn't continuously synchronize its GAL. that happens at regular intervals, so if you JUST ran the group converter utility, you may need to wait.

For any Group to be viewable in GAL it needs to be Mail enabled.

If you want quick view try with Outlook in Online mode. I guess your using Outlook cache mode.
