Bare metal backup of Windows 2008 R2 & Windows 2012
I read that Win 2008 comes with Bare metal backup
a) can this bare metal backup copy 'locked' / 'open' files
without the need to shut down Windows ie take a good
system backup of Windows (& its registry etc) ?
b) for this bare metal recovery, do we need to boot up from a CD?
c) can we backup to spare disk space (say a shared drive or NAS) ?
d) what's the difference between bare metal backup for Win 2008
& win 2012?
