Trying to get ssl set up with apache on windows

I'm running Apache 2.2.17 on windows 2008 and I'm trying to set up ssl.

The mod_ssl.so module is not currently on the system. Any suggestions on where I can get it would be much appreciated.

Your safest bet here would be download and install Apache 2.2.22 (has the patched version of SSL that is PCI compliant) using the WAMP stack - you can easily customise where the various parts are installed (WAMP includes PHP & MySQL and you can either leave them or delete them if not needed) and this will include all of the modules associated with Apache ready for Windows 2008 (64bit or 32bit versions available). The only thing to be carefull with is at the end of the install do not click "launch now" - that way the WAMP exe runtime controller will not be installed (you don't want it in a production environment)

See: http://www.wampserver.com/en/

Alternatively, you can obtain various Apache modules compiled for Windows from:

You could download the full Apache ZIP file and extract the files, then select the modules you need. Just be carefull to make sure they are all compiled with the same C runtime libraries.
