Media center win 7 with hdhomerun dual Help with apple tv hacked using xbmc.

I have a win 7 with media center and 1 hdhr dual set up and works great.

Is there a way to record over the air at 720p if the ota channel is 1080p?

I have a apple tv 2 hacked with xbmc it can't play the 1080p recordings so i want to know if media center will record at a lower setting.

And where i live all local channel are at 1080p there is no lower broadcast.

If it can't what is a good cheap nettop or apple tv like box that i can use?

I would like to have xbmc on it.

No, you can only record what is being broadcast.  You can re-encode after saving it, but that is a lengthy and cpu-intensive task.

You might consider the Asus Eee PC 1015PX http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Asus-Eee-PC-1015PX-Netbook.70557.0.html for your purpose.

No - the process requires a lot of cpu processing.

You already have the HDHomerun, which lets you view shows over the network - why don't you connect your TV to the network?
