nothing is wrong with my pc, but i came across the verifier thing that checks for driver problems and thought i would try it out. so i ran the verifier, rebooted - then looked at " display existing settings" and "Display information about the currently verified drivers" and I have two questions -
1st - the display information thing offers up a ton of info - but i must say, i don't know how to interrupt it - is there a good way to know what the verifier is going on about?
2nd - does it just keep running until you tell it to stop? if so how do you stop it - do you run the verifier and choose  " delete existing settings"?  - I ask because after the reboot my pc seems the slightest bit "sluggish" I can tell that some things take just a little longer to do, so i suspected the verifier because that was the last thing that changed.

If nothing is wrong with your PC I would recommend uninstalling the verifier.  It is most likely the cause of your sluggish PC.  After uninstalling the verifier then I would run the program CCleaner.  Remove temp files first (it defaults to deleting items from recycle bin)  It won't delete any documents or important files, just junk ones.  I would also run the registry program in CCleaner.  It cleans up your registry of errors, make sure to save the backup first before actually "fixing" the problems.  It will prompt you to do the backup.  This should help clean up the sluggish computer.

Drivers need to be signed by the vendors for 64-bit systems, so my guess is that's what the verifier is doing.  If it wasn't signed though, you couldn't install them, so I really wouldn't worry about it.

If your computer is still sluggish I recommend doing a virus scan with SuperAntiSpyware.  The FREE edition does a good job.

I'm more concerned with verifier - my pc is fine - since I posted this I think I found how to stop the verifier and the sluggishness stopped - but that was the minor concern. When I said sluggish I should have said hardly sluggish - it was barely noticable.
the Verifier comes with windows - you don't install it, it's a utility that checks out the drivers - more importantly now is how to interrpret what verifier finds

JeffBeall--If it works, don't fix it.  That is my thought on the Windows driver verifier.  It may be a great help in defining driver problems if your PC is not working well, but forget about it if all is well.
Does this help with your question about how to use the verifier's info?

I'm doing this because I work on computers. so mine runs fine, but most likely i'll run across a problem pc, and i want as many tools in the arsenal as possible.
I like the link though, i glanced over it and it looks like it has good info, i read in more detail later.
