Windows 7 32bit Profesional Print Spooler Stopping Intermittently
Several random systems on our network have the Print Spooler Service stopping and starting intermittently. We are running Windows 7 32bit professional. Issue started happening within the past couple of weeks. Fix that appears to have corrected this is:
"Check which user is actually running the Print Spooler service.
Find spoolsv.exe.
Go to properties, security, advanced, owner.
Make sure you are the owner, with full rights" from EE post https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/27635571/Windows-7-Print-Spooler-Stops.html
On the systems i've checked so far TrustedInstaller was the Owner.
Is this related to a recent Windows Update?

Try to run sysstem restore to a restore point prior to the appearance of the problem.

Printer is a Canon iRC 1022i on a network print server. Issue was resolved on a couple of boxes by manually deleting the network printer and adding it back. Could a Windows Update have corrupted the printer driver? Is there a way to fix for all Users without manually deleting and adding the printer back?
yes , May windows updates also updated Computer Device Drivers .
Check the windows update settings and download & install Security updates only.
Now Printer installation for all users , if its Windows Domain environment then you can use the Group Policy to install.

Solution was to Remove printers and add them back to replace corrupted print drivers. Points to kadadi_v and many Thanks! Issue only affected a few Users thankfully for whatever reason so we went ahead and removed & added back printers the old fashioned manual way.
