Exchange Migration 2003 to 2010

I have one exchange 2003 server in my organization.  I put in another server with 2008 OS and Exchange 2010.  During the install of 2010 it asked about if I wanted to do mail flow install and had me locate the 2003 server.  The install went fine and now it looks like everything has been migrated over to the 2010 server.  Has anyone else done an install like this and if so, is there anything else I need to do before decommissioning the 2003 server?  It seems everything is on the 2010 server but I am not sure where else to check to see if everything is routing through the 2010 and not 2003 server.  I noticed there was a mail route setup on the 2003 server going from the 2003 server to the 2008.

I recommend going through the deployment assistant:

I'd also recommend simply disconnecting it from the network for a couple of days first before uninstalling.
