Crystal Reports - Parameters - How do i make them so they are not case sensitive?

I have a data base with Capitals and lower case customer number, is there a way to use crystal report to retrieve data so that if I enter in the customer number in lower case but the data in the data base is in upper case it will find the data?  right now I only am able to retrieve data is the parameter field is exactly the same as the data.

There's a setting in both File|Report Options (specific to the report you're working on) and File|Options (global setting) for allowing for case insensitivity.  With this checked, it means you could code against a parameter like this:

{} = {?Name}

and it wouldn't matter if you input "jones" or "JONES", it would search against them all.

Please note, however, this depends on your database.  Some databases, like Oracle, are ALWAYS case-sensitive, so this setting is completely ignored.  Other databases like SQL Server allow for case insensitivity, but only if they're configured that way during installation (most generally are, btw).

Awsome, I knew it would be simple.  Unfortuanatly the database is case sensitive.

Thank you
