did you try with any Other OS ?

may be Pen Driver Driver Removed from PEN Drive Memory. that's why it's not recognized.

Yanking out a USB stick without safely removing it can destroy it. But you can still try to format it using HP's utility:

http://download.cnet.com/HP-USB-Disk-Storage-Format-Tool/3000-2094_4-10974082.html

You can also try formatting it using the PartedMagic LiveCD and it's Diskeditor, and there is also testdisk on that CD which you can use to test it:

If you need the information stored on it, formating won't be a good idea, as it's recognized from the OS try some rescue software like R-Studio

And after recovering your data you can format it

I suggest TestDisk.
It's text-based instead of a GUI, but I've seen it fix a lot of problems.
Use the 'make an image' option before performing any repairs.

I would also use its accompanying program PhotoRec to recover the files (it has signatures of dozens of different types, not just photos) from it before making any changes, in case you end up having to reformat it, too. On a failing hard drive you would go for an image first, but that doesn't sound like the problem with this device.

the problem I am running into with all of the applications is that the usb drive does not show up when I insert it, it just give me the error USB Device not Reconized... One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recongize it....  Also if I go to Device and Printers it shows up as Unspecified .. Unknow Device

Did you try TestDisk?

If the partedmagic livecd I mentioned earlier doesn't work with it either then there isn't anything you can do. it is dead.

Some times using a diferent USB port or a USB hub could help.

Take it apart and you will probably see a fried circuit board. If so, it is toast.
