Outlook Web Access Account Password/Disabled

When a user is terminated or disabled in AD, is it possible to force the account to logoff in OWA and activesync?  

I found this article but think the experts would give a better answer.

Pretty much his article is good and will work, but if you want to really do it all you need to do is restart IIS.

And obviously first things things, you need to change their password then deactivate their account.  Thought I'd throw that in in case it isn't obvious, which it should be.
