Hi guys;

Good contribution.

Except for yii extension, others are working like a charm but i also want to make yii working.

1) Do i need yii framework to run yii bootstrap extension?
2) When I go for http://www.cniska.net/yii-bootstrap/setup.html for setting up it, it says;

Unzip the extension under protected/extensions/bootstrap and add the following code to your application configuration:

but where to put this in my php application? I have no config file. Should I create a one in my application, and how to bind it as a configuration file (like Web.config thing in .NET)?

'preload'=>array(
    .....
    'bootstrap', // preload the bootstrap component
),
'modules'=>array(
    .....
    'gii'=>array(
        .....
        'generatorPaths'=>array(
            'bootstrap.gii',
        ),
    ),
),
'components'=>array(
    .....
    'bootstrap'=>array(
        'class'=>'ext.bootstrap.components.Bootstrap', // assuming you extracted bootstrap under extensions
    ),
),

Open in new window

I'd have a look at dojo.  It's a javascript library but that's what I use for tabs and other containers.

Dojo is a JavaScript framework/toolbox.  It takes a lot of the work out of creating a great, cross browser UI (and lots of other stuff too.)  Check out the the layout widgets.  I've done a lot of LAMP programming over the years and I highly recommend using a good frameworks and tools so you don't have to re-invent the wheel.  I use ZendFramework for PHP and Dojo for JavaScript.  I'm sure there are few other good ones but these are the 2 I settled on.

Good luck with that.
