Dear experts,

I need to restore files from a Quantum DLT tape that were taken (backup) from another server. Both servers are Windows 2003 and were using NTBackup.

I don't seem to be able to see whats on the tape?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance. Its fairly urgent.

From Windows Device Manager in the left pane, select the plus sign next to Storage to expand it and expand Removable Storage and Libraries. Under Libraries, right-click the appropriate backup device and choose Inventory. When the tape device completes the inventory process, the tape information will be listed in the right pane. You should be able to perform a restore after the tape has been inventoried.
