Cisco Call Manager 7

I have a basic set up right now. No partitions etc. I am trying to test a 7911 phone. I plugged it into my test lab which is isolated, it received all of teh settings even a directory number however, its wrong. I assigned directorty number 1000-1005 and it picked uo number 2692 which is not configured anywhere. Also, the phone is not listed anywhere under devices > phones.

Do you have another call manager somewhere? Maybe you didnt isolate the VLANs appropiately.

Check on Settings -> Network Config -> IPV4 Config -> TFTP Server and find out what server you are connecting to.

No, no other cucms at all, this is the first one. The tftp server on the phone is correct. It baffles my mind. I was also thinking that there has to be another cucm, but this is a test lab and only 1 cucm right now.

are you able to make any calls?

Shut down that CUCM and check if it still registers.

It should at least show up in devices-phones.

Maybe factory reset that phone

Try the following to reset the phone to factory defaults.

https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/284011

Power off the phone.

Hold down the # key.

While holding #, connect an AC adaptor to the phone.

Continue to hold # until the line buttons blink amber.

Release the # key.

Enter 3491672850*#

The lights should change color from amber to red. When this occurs, the phone is resetting to factory defaults.
