citrix receiver
a few months ago we upgraded to a new version of citrix. we had been using citrix metaframe with the network neighborhood ica client. Some of our users would just use published applications but many would use the ica client almost like a remote desktop connection where they would see the entire server. I don't see where i can configure the new citrix receiver for this kind of access? there don't seem to be too many configuration options at all on the receiver? is a remote desktop kind of configuration possible?
thanks so much

If I understand correctly, users will have ica placed on their desktops so once they double click that it will automatically connect to that application right? If yes, then I would say this has changed in the newer version where you cannot manually create a ICA file like the traditional way, however it's possible through web interface.
Use this link to find how to create the ica file:

Please make sure you removeica file = yes to no, as per the article to make sure the icon doesn't disappear after first launch. You can then circulate this ica files to the users so they can save it to their desktops.

Well, do you mean to view the published desktop? This should be available from the "Desktop" tab on your Web Interface. Did I understand your question correctly?

Instead of just seeing the published application, i want to have the option of configuring the receiver to see the entire server desktop. this is used for a crappy accounting application that doesn't have it's own mapi client so to send email from this application (that's built on interbase btw) it uses whatever the default mail client. a lot of times if users don't have their email open when using this account application the application email won't work properly. so on a lot of users in the past i've configured program neighborhood so that they can see the entire server desktop so they can open up their outlook along side the accounting application.
2 of the comments above don't really apply...one of them is how to do single sign on and the other one shows you how to save the ica to your desktop so you can have the applications on your desktop instead of accessing via a url.
