Video In PowerPoint 2010

Hi Experts!

Say you have a mp4 video about 434,00KB and you would like to insert it into a PowerPoint presentation. When you play the mp4 video say with MS Media Player it plays fine, but when you play it through the PowerPoint slide mid way for about 4 seconds the pictures/streaming gets distorted then goes back to normal.

Tried downloading the latest divx, but issue persist.

Any idea?

TIA!

Hi
mp4 is really a Quicktime format,
is it owned by iTunes by any chance?
you could consider using a different video format such as wmv.
WMV is better suited for Power Point.
If there is a lag could be caused by the timings you have set for everything.
Compatibility problems.
How big the presentation is over all.
I dont have the time to show you step by step and hope you dont mind a video.

The following is a step by step guide on how to convert MP4 to PowerPoint Presentation compatible format on Windows or Mac

Thankyou for the heads up I was just covering a few possibilities. As you may know some programs can be funny with DRM hense the video playback becomes dodgy.

But you can only do it when no one has added a commented.
If you wait too long and someone adds a comment you'll see Access Denied.
Hope you find that helpful.

yes, that's helpful ... sometimes I forget that you can edit your last comment if no no else has added another comment.

I called, emailed, texted, and offered to come along, but he tells me he's busy. Sigh.

I'll just accept your answer and let you know later. Thanks!
