# Moving numbers from end of Excel cell into new column

Hi, I have Excel spreadsheets which have a column of names with index numbers,
Coleman, Janet 456-458, 610
Smith, John 99, 105, 175
Finkleman, Fred 54, 98, 104-107, 210
I have been using the text to column function however then I have to merge the numbers back together into one column.
I need to create one column with the index numbers only.

Hi

If your data in A2, in B2,

=LEFT(A2,MIN(FIND({0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9},A2&"0123456789"))-1)

In C2

=TRIM(SUBSTITUTE(A2,B2,""))
