cant access any websites on any browers

error i receive when trying to go to any websites

Google Chrome Error 137 (net::ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED): Unknown error

im currently running a kyaspersky lunix iso scan disk thing. in case it doesnt find anything wrong (virus,malware) what else could be causing this issue and the fix be?

    Check for malware also.
    Run TDSS Remover and/or Malwarebytes and  remove malware.

    you can run TDSS Killer

    If no luck then, download and install Malwarebytes. Run updates. Run scan

    If you get a good result, check if you have a proxy enabled.

    i ended up doing a cmd command
    netsh winsock reset

    restarted computer - now works like nothing happened

    thanks rene. i used a command that was listed in the link you provided. dont know why i didnt think to use it. that was one of my tests i had to do back in highschool. lol
