How to Protect user from directly accessing file

Hi I got one problem,I am having video file with format .swf which I am using in one HTML page like
 <embed width="700" height="600" src="data.swf" />
This .swf file is in my folder Video which is accessible through IIS. So i want that that .swf can only be accessible when I will open .htm file(where is that code written to access .swf file)
But right now itz even accessible when I access like http:\\localhost\video\data.swf.So i want to restrict this option.
Please help me asap.

Hello.
I dont think (or know) a way that this could happen.
For users to see the data.swf though an html file , they should have access (actually their browser) to the element that you wish to show.
I hope that helps

Thanks for reply. When I  see view source of my .htm file I can see that actual .swf file name,So running .swf file on .htm prevent user from downloading or saving But directly giving that URL like http:\\localhost\video\data.swf cause them to allow download or save which I don't want because those videos are very confidential for company So user can only see but can not download.
  Please help me asap.

You can create a code in ur Page to stream and set the permissions to system only

It will be 1 tough workaround

Here's a lengthy discussion on the possibilities. None sound fool proof.

I am having video files which I m running  in html file
through html tag <embed width="700" height="600" src="data.swf" />
So i want that, that file can only be accessible by using html
not directly like  http:\\localhost\video\data.swf
Is there any way I can restrict direct access when user will put that url in browser he will be redirected to some other page,But same time I can access that file through html page or .aspx code.
