export groups of a specific AD user.

Can someone please advise how to list the groups/DLs of a specific AD user?

Thanks.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You could use built in tools like the ds tools

dsquery user -name "UserName" | dsget user -memberOf

I like adfind too, powershell and adinfo (free GUI) are other good methods.

Thanks

Just only to extend Mike's answer for better output, you may use below syntax
dsquery user -samid "UserName" | dsget user -memberOf | dsget group -name -scope -desc >>c:\groups.txt
