setting up mrtg to monitor specific ports on cisco switch

hi,

I have mrtg setup on my linux bux (ubuntu server) i was wondering how do i get it to poll specific ports on my cisco catalyst switch 3550 to report back the traffic?

I use Cacti instead for this sort of thing, but here's a thread that might help
