Rewrote AceSEF urls and caused error

Hi there, I am running Joomla 2.5
I installed AceSEF, and everything was fine. Then I went in and edited the URLs, expected that AceSEF will map the old links to the new URL - but that didn't work. Now my back-end AceSEF URL page is a jumble of wrong URLs, the sitelinks are all broken - and I don't know how to go back.

When I disable AceSEF, Joomla's SEF URLs still don't work as before - 404 errors or directing to the wrong page.

Please help.

You should have backedup AceSEF data from ACESEF control Panel.

Have you changed any settings in  Configuration >URLS> .?

if so revert back and purge all urls. and regenerate all of them.

Before following my instructions.I advise you to take backeup of urls from RESTORE/MIGRATE

Okay, I found Restore/Migrate. But if I backup URLs now, it will backup the broken ones, yes?

 - is that useful?

Yes.It will backup broken one.

I would suggest you to create copy site somewhere or on test domain.and then try to regenerate all urls.
