RD Gateway farm failover

Hi experts,

I have implemented a RD Gateway farm in a test environment using NLB.    Clients are load balanced across the two gateway servers but the failover doesn't seem to work.   I stop the service on one gateway and the clients don't reconnect to the other gateway, it just reaches the 20 re-connection attempts and ends the rdp session

Are there any requirements for network latency etc for an RD Gateway farm?

thanks in advance
