Have a Windows 7 computer with shared folder.  6 computers either Windows 7 or Windows XP can access the shared folder.

A Windows XP computer can not. The Windows XP computer was set up for some sort of VPN. If Windows Explorer is open then one does not see Microsoft Windows Network under my network places, Entire network but instead see Microsoft Terminal Services and Web client network. Computer can access Internet and DHCP and DNS settings are set to auto.

Windows firewall was returned to default conditions to enable printer and file sharing and VPN connection removed from the firewall.
VPN connection was removed from Internet Explorer.
Set Webclient and terminal services to disable.

None of the changes have helped.

Maybe it is still connected to the Domain?

Right click on my computer->properties (Computer Name) (or similar, it's been a while for xp for me) and remove the computer from the domain.

Are You use Netbios on XP computer?
Can You access shares by IP instead destination computer name?

Computer is on a local workgroup like all the other computers.

Attempt to access share was by IP.

I do not remember exactly where to check for Netbios.

Netbios was set to default and changed to disable.

Installing Client for Microsoft Networks bought up Microsoft Windows Network and the message above was replaced with a variable of network not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Since I have a new error message I consider this solved.
