BIZARRE issue on all our servers with google chrome only!!

We have 5 new servers running Microsoft server 2003 R2, IIS6 all with the same wierd issue that only seems to appear with google chrome. ???? I have stripped out any application level issues by creating sample files as follows, andy help or direction to look would be most appreciated!!!:

Open chrome in url type in:
Notice it “went back” in history to a blank pake


Close chrome now open again and in url type in:

Worked perfectly i.e. download the .jpg

Now leave browser open and type in:
Once again goes to page -1 in history or a blank page


Close chrome no open again and in url type in:

Now leave browser open and type in:
Goes to page -1 in history or back to


This only happens if there is /MSP/clients in the url *and* the document is a pdf i.e. try the following all work fine:

Or the pdf without the /MSP/Clients:

It will work fine even with a “singular” client i.e. :

    For what it is worth, I'm seeing the exact same thing on my computer - very bizarre.  I'd recommend you report this to Google as a Chrome bug.

    Here is how to report a bug.

    It ended up being a mime type definition for .* in this subdirectory cuasing the issue, removed the mime type and it works now
