I just installed chrome on my desktop and it did create an entry in add/remove programs?

Do you have the link for google chrome personal?

In any case if you have file collection turned on and know the name of the google chrome personal executable file you should be able to use the query below to target machines that have it. In the example below i used chrome.exe

    select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile on SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.ResourceId = SMS_R_System.ResourceId where SMS_G_System_SoftwareFile.FileName = "Chrome.exe"
