Router in GNS3 cannot ping the gateway

I think it is strange. PC can ping the gateway(wireless router) and access internet through the gateway. The router in GNS3 is connected to cloud. The cloud is bound with wireless adapter of PC.

Now, the PC can ping the gateway of wireless router and can ping the router in GNS3. The router in GNS3 also can ping the PC' wireless adapter, but the router in GNS3 can not ping the gateway(wireless router). Anyone can give some suggestion? Thank you

Are you pinging from the correct source interface on the GNS3 router?

ping x.x.x.x source x.x.x.x

Thank you for your reply. Theoretically I like to know if this can work.

I just tried ping x.x.x.x source x.x.x.x(the router interface in GNS3), but it not worked.

Some protocols use loopback to setup connection of GNS3 router to internet. So, without the loopback, i wonder if the GNS3 router can access internet?

I did not configure ip route. But i did another try. i replaced the wireless router with the Router 2600 which connect the GNS3 cloud through cable and its wired adapter. Then, the GNS3 router can ping wired adapter and also the 2600 router. So, the try means GNS3 Router can ping internet address without the loopback. Do you think so ?

If the GNS router is connected to the cloud and the cloud is connect to the LAN, then the GNS router should be able to ping anything on the LAN.  Without a default route on the GNS router, it will never get to the Internet though.  You need that default route so it knows how to get past the LAN.

Sorry, i was not clear about this. I agree it needs route to internet. Two questions. First is without loopback, GNS3 router also can access internet if i stick the cloud with real network adapter ? If so, why people use loopback for accessing internet ? Second, I also think GNSRouter should can ping anything in the same LAN, but why the GNS3 Router can ping the real router 2600 through cable,  but the GNS3 router cannot ping wireless router(as gateway) ?

It's difficult to diagnose without being able to see the actual layout of the network and the IP address assignments etc.

Just tried it. it is wireless router problem. after changing to wire adapter, it can access internet without setup loopback. but i dont know why all wireless routers do not work in this case
