Windows 7, run command

I have just got a Windows 7 laptop.

When I click on the "Start" icon, I cannot find the "Run" menu there.

Can someone please let me know where I can find "Run" menu in Windows 7.

    Right mouse click on Start and select Properties, select  Customise and scroll down its near the bottom.

    Right click your taskbar then select properties > Taskbar and Start Menu Properties > Start Menu tab > Customize > Chceck the Run command box

    Your options include:

    1. Just type your command into the search box - it works all the time - unless you fat finger something, then it MIGHT actually search for it and provide a list... but if you just type in what you're looking for and press Enter, it has the same effect.

    2. Press the Windows key and the "R" button.

    3. Add it back - follow the directions above.

    type from keyboard:

    windows key + r
    it is shortcut for run command
