Exchange setup design
Hi all,
Our current setup is having 1 exchange server in india and 2 exchange servers in US.
India server is having all the roles [hub, cas,mb,um] along with DAG between US server.
US is one server with all the roles and other for CAS.
Now we have to redesign the setup, but before i required to get load on these servers. So how should i do it.
What is a good design for small setup ?
Please guide .

Is load balancers required for small setup ?
As per your suggestion ,i required 2 servers in each site with all the roles.
If so,then what kind of hardware is required ?
Please suggest..

Setting up DAG need lot of planning.

with out load balancers. How are you going to handle CAS traffic.
On DAG you can't have CAS NLB's
With server hardware it all depends on no of mailboxes and amount of email.
Are you going for physical or virtual servers.

I am having 130 users. Our current setup is having 1 exchange server in india and 2 exchange servers in US.
India server is having all the roles [hub, cas,mb,um] along with DAG between US server.
US is one server with all the roles and other for external CAS.
Could you suggest me ,what could be my ideal setup. As i cannot afford NLB.

For 130, i don't think you need DAG over the WAN or Global DAG, just setup local site DAG, that is enough. If India is your primary site, add one more server in DAG locally and that is enough. Else you can move them to cloud, like 0ffice 365.

This solution is only available to members.
To access this solution, you must be a member of Experts Exchange.
Ideally have 2 hardware load balancers at each site.
Also at each site have 2 servers have mailbox, hub and cas roles.
So with 4 servers in your exchange organisation you can have DAG.
