Windows SBS 2011 reports critical security status

Since reinstalling Windows SBS 2011 on our server, I can't figure why the network security status is being shown as "critical" when we have Symantec Endpoint Security installed and updated on all clients.
The update status is also showing "unknown".
We have had the current installation running for a couple of weeks.

The previous installation of SBS 2011 on this server didn't behave in this way

If the client computer is offline when the report is generated, there is an error in reporting the status of that client computer. The default time for running reports is 3:00 A.M. You must ensure that the client computers are not turned off when the report is run, in order to get an accurate status for the computers.

In troubleshooting SBS issues, you can run the SBS (2003/2008) Best Practices Analyzer (BPA).

BPA examines a server that is running Windows Small Business Server and then presents a list of information and errors, which are sorted by severity, that you should review.

This list describes each issue and it provides a recommendation about what you should do to resolve the issue.

Thanks for the links which I have checked out. The repository is consistent!
The client machines at this office are powered up 24/7 and will be on when the reports are generated.

BPA show a couple of issues thast I was already aware of, one of which is Exchange Server requires sp2 update. Could this be the cause of the problem?

    Accepted Solution

No for exchange server it will show you another alert not related to security alert.

Try gernerate report one more time and check or wait for next report geratation.
