we received an ldif file, which contains Active Directory Contents. During Import the Content using ldapadd we received several errors, due to schema conflicts from OpenLDAP to Active Directory, several attributs are missing in OpenLDAP :

1) instanceType
2) whenCreated
3) uSNCreated
4) objectGUID etc....

I think in /etc/ldap/schema the schema definitions for Active Directory is missing, is there a schema Definitions available for Integration in OpenLDAP

    Accepted Solution

Depending on what you are trying to implement and the contents of the LDIF file, you will need to eliminate or transform some the non-compatible attributes form Microsoft to openLDAP.

Almost never will LDIF contents move from one LDAP Vendor to another without some consideration as to the source and destination LDAP server vendor.

We could be more helpful if you posted some information on what you were trying to implement and the contents of the LIFF file.
