Dell Shared Storage

I'm going to use two Dell PowerEdge R510 with one Dell PowerVault MD1200 as shared storage for using VMWare 5.0 with HA and Fault Tolerance options.
Could I use this scenario with DAS storage?

You have to have shared storage to use HA.  Multiple hosts have to have access to the VMDK files.

Yes, I know. Bt could I use for this DAS Dell MD1200 or the storage should be iSCSI only?

No, DAS is not shared storage.  There are some complicated scenarios you could do to make it shared, but it is not designed for that or recommended for it.

I know the exact DAS models of HP and IBM which are working like a shared storage. So DAS could work for VMWare HA and vMotion. The question is, can the Dell MD1200 work like HP or IBM
