Windows 2003 SBS,  Active directory properties, Exchange general, Forwarding Delivery Option, Find object / user.

Trying to forward an old users email to a newly created user.   The new user PSmith properties shows the proper address @widget.com.    But when we go to the old user PJones and try to forward to PSmith@widgets.com, it only offers the internal domain psmith@private.loc?

Maybe it's just this user and the way he was set up?  Maybe it's the default settings on the server?

Make a Email enabled contact with Primary address as PSmith@widgets.com and then set the Forwarding.

Or uncheck the Option for "Automatic Apply email address" on the Email address tab but its for Internal Mailbox ..

The articles helped define some of the problem.  It's working now, it was apparently working all along but just displaying the .loc address as part of the username which confused me.   I give this answer an A even though the answer didn't directly address the exact question. My question could have been written better.
