How to set up RDP straight to an application

Hey there, I have an RDP host server on a server 2008 unit.

The employees currently only need one application that has been installed to that server (through the /install switch for TS)

I wish to put a shortcut on employees desktops for RDP that will take them straight to the server and have the necessary application open.

The program folder is located on the root "\add_sys\energy1101\energy.exe"

When I enter this info into the RDP shortcut, the session logs in, and then logs back out.

When I do not specify the program path, log in and go open the path manually, it works fine.

What am I doing wrong?  I added the 'everyone' group to the \add_sys folder permissions just in case, but to no avail

Thanks!

you can use RAP option for the user. however user is still have full remote desktop access if they clear it out from it.

since you are using windows 2008, you can use TS remote app option, which you are deploy the application shortcut to user desktop or user can access the app only via browser.
