How to set up RDP straight to an application

Hey there, I have an RDP host server on a server 2008 unit.

The employees currently only need one application that has been installed to that server (through the /install switch for TS)

I wish to put a shortcut on employees desktops for RDP that will take them straight to the server and have the necessary application open.

The program folder is located on the root "\add_sys\energy1101\energy.exe"

When I enter this info into the RDP shortcut, the session logs in, and then logs back out.

When I do not specify the program path, log in and go open the path manually, it works fine.

What am I doing wrong?  I added the 'everyone' group to the \add_sys folder permissions just in case, but to no avail

Thanks!
