Exchange 2010 and Active Directory Users and Computers

I'm installing Exchange 2010 and am having a small problem with AD users and computers.  On my old exchange 2003 server if I ran the AD users and computers MMC there would be a number of options pertaining to exchange.  In addition users that I created there would also have an associated exchange mailbox created as well.  On the 2010 server this isn't the case, I see no exchange tabs in AD and when I create a user a mailbox is not automatically created either.  Any idea what I'm missing?

it is different in Exchange 2010, you must use the Exchange management console to create users and groups and mail enable them, you can't integrate that in ADUC anymore

What happens if you go into AD, users and computers, and right click on a specific user?  Do you see exchange options in the menu?

Actually you can create users the normal way but for any exchange options you need to use the Exchange console. Creating users and groups and setting permissions can still be done on ADUC. You can also install Exchange management tools on your workstation so that you font always have to make changes on server.

@busbar - wait, so I need to use the EMC to manage all mail enabled accounts including creating new ones rather than AD U&C?

@npinfotech - I see the normal options but nothing relating to exchange at all

By the way for exchange 2010 you can only install management tools on workstation that is running 64bit OS. Please see:
