Unhandled MUVPN Packet.in-00

I upgraded my watchguard firewal x550e Core series from 11.0.1 to 11.3.2 and Watchguard system manager to 11.6.1.

Everything was working just fine including the VPN. We are using Watchguard Mobile VPN Client for IPSec.

Then I upgraded the fireware to 11.3.5. Everything except the VPN stopped working.

The mobile vpn client was able to establish the connection to the gateway. However, when attempted to use remote desktop connection to connect to a resource inside the network, it was not able to connect.

Looking at the traffic monitor, I noticed the following entry that it is being denied on our backup internet connection.

2012-09-21 17:42:01 Deny 10.0.0.120 10.0.0.1 dns/udp 50153 53 1-<Backup ISP> 2-Internal Denied 61 127 (Unhandled MUVPN Packet.in-00)  proc_id="firewall" rc="101" src_user="<USERNAME>@Active Directory" &#9;Traffic

We do not force all internet connection through the firewall when the client is connected.

As of now, I restored back to 11.3.2 and everything is working. I noticed a similar issue experience by another user here but he mentioned about Base Search DN not being set correct. I didn't get that quite correct.

Any help is much appreciated.

This was a bug in Watchguard 11.3.5 software and they released a new patch for us and that resolved the problem. If anyone has similar issue after upgrade, please contact watchguard, they are very good with their support and will provide you with the latest updated software.
