Open IE   >TOOLS >INTERNET OPTIONS

midpage, under "browsing history" you see "settings".  Click >SETTINGS >VIEW FILES

This is where all the temp internet files (pictures, docs, flash, etc. are located.)

Or if you use Chrome as your browser, there's a lovely little program that will let you browse your cache and extract files from it.

Another Nir Sofer program:
VideoCacheView

Be aware that *.SWF files are not normally associated by default with any particular program because the code within the web page loads the Adobe Flash Player browser plugin rather than this being a file type you would normally encounter and double-click on.  For the most part SWF files in the browser cache folder will be the ones shown as animated banners on web pages, adverts, and the "frames" of Web Video Players that allow sites like YouTube to play back the various video types like FLV and MP4.  So most of the cached SWF files you encounter aren't really going to be much good to you.

*.FLV (Flash Video) files and MP4 videos (as users' videos are often converted to when a video is uploaded to YouTube_ can happily be associated with multimedia players like VideoLan VLC Player, and this can be set in the VideoCacheView options as an external player.

In VideoCacheView you have user options to choose which browser caches to show files from, and you can filter what files you want to show.
