The short term fix for the problem was to drag and drop the PDF's into the email rather than use the paper clip to attach files. The problem went away <br />

We have a HP proliant server that is about six years old. It had a Pentium D 3Ghz CPU with 2GB of DDR2 667Mhz memory<br />
The operating system is 2003 Terminal Server with AD as it is the DC.<br />
Office 2003 is installed and we use Zimbra hosted email.<br />

It seems that when I try to attach a PDF to an email at the same time someone else does it goes supper slow and takes a couple of minutes to attach to email
