OAB is not updating on local Outlook clients.

We've recently upgraded to Exchange 2010 from Exchange 2007. Since then, when I create a new Distribution List it does not show up in Outlook. If I connect to OWA it is there. If I force a download via Send/Receive - Download Address Book that still does nothing.

The only way I can get it to download properly is to go to C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Offline Address Books, delete the address book, and reopen Outlook. Clearly I can't do this for 700 users everytime I update the Address Book.

Help please!

Desktops or laptops?  Remote or local connections?  Is cache mode enabled?

Try this: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-GB/exchange2010/thread/c45c2564-7e68-46c5-bd07-faf0563338c6

Also pay mind at the bottom it mentions schedules and logging.  Hope this helps.
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.

Where is the Users Mailbox ?
What all roles does 2010 server has ?
Is the OAB still being generated by E2k7 or E2k10 ?
Which OAB is the Mailbox Database pointing and is the data updated with the Same CAS server ?

The User's Mailbox is on the Exchange 2010 server.
We only have one server which has all roles.
It's being generated by the 2k10 server.
It's pointing to the Default one generated on the 2k10 server.

I tested it through Autoconfig on Outlook and the OAB URL is showing:

External : https://webmail.domain.com/OAB/a59254a7-667a-4e6d-a0e0-40f3387400e4

Internal : http://server1.domainlocal.com/OAB/a59254a7-667a-4e6d-a0e0-40f3387400e4

Seem normal?

The files in ExchangeOAB folder are more recent than in the ClientAccess\OAB folder.

Ok I did and I see a bunch of LZX files copied over.

Is this something that has to be done all the time?

Nopes sometimes the services dont function what they should so a Restart can just push the process.

I think it was the restarting of the FDS service that finally pushed the updated OAB out.
