windows 2008 DNS

Quick question --=- In DNS under forward lookup zones
I dont see a _msdsc.domain.local zone

under the forward zone domain.local, I see
_msdcs
_sites
_tcp
_udp
DomainDNSzones
ForestDnsZones

Is it important to have the _msdsc.domain.local forward zone, as I am missing it.
How do I put it back?

tried
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
nltest /regdns
verified register this connections address with DNS is selected
restarted netlogon

Nothing is putting the _msdcs.xxxx.local zone back.

dcdiag isnt reporting any issues other than
      Starting test: systemlog
         * The System Event log test
An Error Event occured.  EventID: 0xC0002719
            Time Generated: 09/26/2012   12:45:12

run repadmin /syncall /force
does not report issues

However some dcs cant replicate with each other when using the command
repadmin /replicate dc-01 dc-02 dc=domain,dc=local
gives

DsReplicaSync() failed with status 8452 (0x2104):
The naming context is in the process of being removed or is not replicated f
rom the specified server.

I am a tad confused.... Do I need the -msdcs folder at root of forward lookup zones, see below on how its setup. Is this okay? or does it need that zone

In DNS manager I have as follows:

SERVER1
     - Forward Lookup Zones
             ** MISSING _MSDCS.DOMAIN.LOCAL
              + Some domain.com
              + Some other domain.com
              - Domain.local
                         - _msdcs
                              + dc
                              + domains
                              + gc
                              + pdc
                        - sites
                              + Default-First-Site-Name
                        _tcp
                       _udp
                       - DomainDnsZones
                                  _sites
                                  _tcp
                       - ForestDnsZones
                                 _sites
                                 _tcp

You don't have to change it to a zone if you don't want.  Things will keep functioning.  It's just a matter of it you want to continue with the old setup or if you want to change to the new setup.
