I currently have a Windows 2008 Server that host a couple of web sites; this server is in a cluster of about 4 more servers all servers use the same DNS. In DNS record I have the domain name pointing to the internal IP of the web server, all the other servers will bring up the web site except the server that is hosting the site.
Example:
10.10.7.30 is the internal IP of the web server, in DNS the forward record for the domain name point to that address from all the other servers when I put in
www.sample.com the web page will display but from the web server that host the website I can’t display the page.
Proxy settings and default gatewa are the same (like on other machines)
How does the name resolve on the local machine?
