I download "AsAdmin-RegisterandEnable32and64.cmd" to my desktop. Then ran as administrator it did some stuff in a DOS box and when it disappeared I figured it was done. So I the ran "jre-7u7-windows-i586.exe" and received another error (attached). Install-Java-Error2.jpg

Sorry, I meant for you to re-run the Java setup after running the script.

No problem (I probably should have know that). So this time I ran the Java Setup, but revived an error (attached... there are two screens, #4 is first and then #3). Install-Java-Error3.jpg Install-Java-Error4.jpg
Where did you find the 1721 error originally reported?
Could you please post the error log referenced in your first screenshot on photobucket?
Also, it would be very helpful if you followed the instructions in the below article and posted the verbose MSI log that is generated (instructions are all in the article - zip the log file before posting).
Hmmmm - that's a lot of not being able to find certain files. Don't think it could be permissions. Have you tried running a dskchk in case you have some corruption?
Also, have you successfully used the EXACT copy of the downloaded installer on the working machines?

1. Don't misunderstand, I attached any MSI.Log files that I could find. They are not all from the same day when the 1721 error occurred.
2. I ran the 'dskchk /r command...took awhile, but it just got done. Everything seemed ok (no corruptions), but I missed the last messages before it auto rebooted (I assume everything ended well). Is there a log somewhere that I can look for?
3. I have no idea what you meant by "...successfully used the EXACT copy of the downloaded installer on the working machines? "
I appreciate you not giving up and helping me with this issue.. its seems more than I first thought.
Ok, I finally got the "MSI-Verbose-Logging-ON.reg" (I needed to download it the correct way rather than just click on it). So I double clicked "MSI-Verbose-Logging-ON.reg" and the registry key/subkeys are there.
Yesterday I uninstalled it. That's why I am at Experts Exchange ... already tried reinstalling via JavaRa, but install failed one again.

This is a really complex problem. I am having a Dell guy look at sometime via remote assistance, but I am not certain when. I am guessing Monday October 1st. Do you guys at EE.com do remote assistance... I have teamviewer already installed? Let me know. Install-Java-Error--3-.jpg

ARKMARK5000,
When you say you tried "reinstalling via JavaRA" did you FIRST uninstall using JavaRA ?
A cleanup uninstall will REMOVE things that might have bad permissions, etc. that the MSI rollback indicated it was not able to remove.
A "reinstall" over the existing mess will simply overwrite - and if there are bad permissions in the mix, then it will never clean that up when it rolls back.
No, we do not do remote control.
Also, all problems must be solved on these threads so that all experts have an equal chance to help solve the problem.

"Also, all problems must be solved on these threads so that all experts have an equal chance to help solve the problem." ok, just asking.
The log file (in a .zip) will not attach... it is 88mb.
I can upload to my file-host service and post the link here? Let me know?

Installing Java via a second admin account was successful...
But I need to know the program or programs that blocked the Java installation in my original admin account.
Well, Java is working for now and I really don't have the patients to fool around with this stuff right now and there does not seem to be a way to upload the PML, at least right now.
I appreciate your assistance and may revisit this issue sometime.

Try running the attached as an administrator and then run the package again.
